Not only is Steve knowledgeable, but he is a bright, bubbly personality and always a pleasure to see when I visit.

St Mawes Ferry

Prince of Wales Pier, Steps No. 2, Falmouth TR11 3DF, UK – 01326 741194

Okay, carries a reasonable fee, but the distance round plus car ferry at King Harry cost would probably make it relative. A twenty minute crossing normally every half hour during the day, and weather permitting, it's a pleasurable ride with a professional but humorous crew. Good views all round so probably just about worth it.

Super organised and efficient. A lovely way to visit either town

Enterprise Boats

Prince of Wales Pier, Falmouth TR11 3DF, UK – 01326 741194

Great river trip in some amazing scenery. Leaving from Falmouth Pier you head up the River Fal to Truro. There is an inside section if you're suffering from the British weather, if you're lucky enough to get some sun then you can get up to the top deck. From here you can enjoy the great views. The boats drivers give a very good commentary on the trip up and down the river. Highly recommended.

Beautiful experience travelling down the river.

Falmouth Surf School & Watersports

Maenporth Rd, Falmouth TR11 5HN, UK – 07837 712670

Amazing Fun and Great Value for Money! My two sons and I booked for SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boarding) last weekend and had an amazing time. There wasnt any surf so we thought we'd give SUP a try and it was excellent. The boys managed to stand up, as did I and we explored the beach of Meanporth, Falmouth. We even found a secret cove! Spence and his team were lovely, professional and great fun, thank you x

Wesup

Orca Sea Safaris

Discovery Quay, Events Square, Falmouth TR11 3QY, UK – 07468 496531

Brilliant experience. Would definitely recommend

Make sure you turn up half hour before your booked time as they take you through the safety procedures and kit you out with waterproof clothing and life jacket. You then board the boat that has jockey sitting which helps cushion the blows when going over large waves. However when finished you do feel like you been riding a horse for 2 hours so be careful when getting of the boat. The views of the coast line are amazing and if you lucky you could see seals and dolphins.

Bowman Yacht Charters Cornwall

Falmouth Marina, N Parade, Falmouth TR11 2TD, UK – 01326 210582

We (a family of four) had a wonderful week exploring the Cornish coast and the Isles of Scilly. Each anchoring/destination was more beautiful than the previous. Our kids had great time at the beaches, restaurants and cafes. Destinations were child friendly and Cyprian (skipper of the yacht) was very considering and kids liked him. Lots of variety to choose from, in many aspects. Would definitely do this again, highly recommended charter company.

Amazing experience on board this superb yacht. had the best time ever - sailing her was magical. nothing was too much trouble for the host. the yacht was extrremely comfortable and didn't feel cramped at all. you should def book this as a lovelu experience.

Local Parks & Gardens

Kimberley Park

33 Kimberley Park Rd, Falmouth TR11 2DA, UK

It is a wonderful place with the best kids playground I have ever been to, nice green grass and lots of paths to wander around. There is even a large pond near the toilets at the top. Sometimes there are food stands for you to stuff yourself

Lovely park and much improved since the play area was installed. Can't really see much point in the ping pong tables though as the space would of been better used for more picnic tables so that those of us who struggle to get off the ground have somewhere to sit. The table and benches which are currently there get occupied very quickly, so tables away from the play around would be great.

Maen Valley Park

Falmouth TR11 5BJ, UK – 07451 228468

It's a lovely park, very clean and tidy and is like a little modern village. We stayed in 98 and it was open and light and the design was lovely. It is a quiet park and although there is no beach access within walking distance that dogs are allowed on during the summer, there are plenty within a short drive along with other beautiful walks around the area such as the walk around Pendennis Castle, along the coastal path and around the National Trust Trelissick Garden. The park is also lovely and perfectly suitable for a quick walk for the dog to start your day. We went to the reception Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights and had tea (dinner) there Thursday. The drinks and food are good and well priced and the staff are amazing, in particular a female chef and a bar maid, both of whom made a fuss of our dog and who we had lovely conversations with. Overall a great holiday for one which began with us arriving two days late due to car trouble.

What a lovely place, perfect place to relax and unwind

Penjerrick Garden

Penjerrick House, Budock Water, Falmouth TR11 5ED, UK – 01872 870105

Very exotic overgrown jungle of a garden. Dragonflies abound. A lovely afternoon scramble in green.

Absolutely stunning, tranquil attraction. Is owned by a lovely man, who lives on the property. Well worth the drive out. Can be difficult to find, so reference from hotel across the road. Small entrance fee for non residents. Plants can be hundreds of years old, most of which came over from Spain and surrounding countries making the whole look more botanical rather than a garden.

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Falmouth or Cornwall. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.
